The Road Part 3
The boy continues to show innocence and compassion towards others despite living in a world where outsiders can't be trusted. He persistently begs his father to help others, absent thought of the danger that may come with it. And it strikes that he still has faith that there are "good people". The father convinces his son that "good people" still exist, but I'm beginning to question whether their morals and principles of survival make them "good" or weak.

I think their morals still make them strong. If they lost these morals, they would end up like the "bad guys". It is the fact that they keep their morals in tough moments that makes them strong
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Cielo and Kingsly. The morals they have keep them going despite all the bad that's around them. But I also understand that it can make them weak and even vulnerable because they could let down their defenses trying to be good all the time and end up hurt.
DeleteKingsley, I agree with you because of the fact that your statement could be be backed up by the fact that the old man did not give out his name when he was talking to a little boy. This just shows how bad the world they live in is. They have to stay strong and protect themselves if they want to survive. I do believe that they still have hope that good people still exist.
